This past weekend we were honored with being one of the first vendors at a newly restored, one of a kind wedding venue in Texas. We also got to meet a few of DFW's best wedding vendors!

This past weekend we were honored with being one of the first vendors at a newly restored, one of a kind wedding venue in Texas.
Located in Whitesboro, TX, the 1906 is a restored church that was built in 1906. In 2013, after 4 decades since it was last inhabited, restoration began in the historic building. The restoration included stained glass, ceiling tiles, and hardwood floors by the original fabricators. We had an opportunity to talk with the owners who turned this abondoned church into a beautiful wedding venue. They truly care about their clients and want to provide them the space to create their one-of-a-kind storybook wedding. The 1906 features a wedding chapel to hold a marriage ceremony, an event center as well as a downstairs Union Lounge which is perfect for a reception or cocktail hour. We recommend to any engaged couple to visit and consider The 1906. It is a one-of-a-kind venue!

Lucero Cervantes is an amazing photographer that specializes in natural light photography. She captures the important moments and details on couple’s special day. We were amazed by her work, especially the way she uses natural lighting and stays true to color. Her photography perfectly encapsulates the moment when the photo was taken, letting couples relive their special day for years to come. Lucero is bilingual, works in the DFW & surrounding areas, and is incredibly nice. It is not hard to see why so many couples entrust her with their special day.

Speedwell Event Co.
Veronica Roemer is the owner & head of events for Speedwell Event Co., a Dallas & Fort Worth based boutique event planning and coordination company. She is a fantastic wedding professional who pays close attention to detail, is very well organized, and fantastic communication skills that help bring a couple’s picture perfect wedding to life. Bar In Motion
Bar In Motion is a mobile bartending service that offers both in-venue and outdoor bartending services. They are a great bar option for both indoor and outdoor weddings. They are pros at making very unique cocktails, including color changing cocktails! They make custom bar menus and add décor and details that make the bar feel as it is a part of the wedding. We were impressed by the presentation and how efficient their service was.

Behold Floral Design
Behold Floral Design is a DFW Based Floral Décor company, that specializes in weddings and event floral décor. We got to talk with Cavendar, the head florist, and were blown away by his work. He brought some amazing untraditional flower arrangements to the venue as well as saw some amazing photos of his work. RHD specializes in home décor and bridal arrangements, expertly crafting floral arrangements with hand dipped wooden flowers. Wooden flowers are a great day to preserve one of the key elements in a wedding, the bride’s bouquet. We got a chance to listen to the owner of rockhilldesignco, Courtney, and we were delighted to hear the process of creating a wooden floral arrangement. She puts a lot of time, care and love into each piece she creates.

DFW DJ Lady
It was wonderful to meet Serena McHenry, better known as DFW DJ Lady. She is a professional at creating the right ambiance. She had the 1906 grooving and dancing with her perfect song selection, picking the right song after right song. What really stood out was how much care and detail she puts into helping couples create the perfect setting. She gets to know her couples and asks the right questions to make a wedding perfect.

SMOKING! A great wedding requires great food! DDT BBQ and Catering offer the Metroplex exactly that! The BBQ sandwich and the Chicken Salad on Croissant were delicious!
